• Their online store is constructed on BigCommerce and was connected with NetSuite to process back-end orders.
• There was a manual disconnect: as a package was shipped and its tracking the number generated in the Item Fulfillment record of NetSuite, the logistics team was required to manually copy-paste this tracking ID to the BigCommerce order.

• Custom Script Development: Developed a custom NetSuite User Event Script to automate integration of tracking data with BigCommerce.
• Event Trigger: The automation will be activated every time a new record is created or modified in NetSuite as an Item Fulfillment.

  • Secures fulfillment is based on a Sales Order.
  • Verifies the Sales Order is of BigCommerce type.
  • Fetches important information such as BigCommerce Address ID and Order ID like BigCommerce Order ID in custom fields.
• Dynamic Package & Item Mapping: The script intelligently handles different fulfillment scenarios:
  • Single Package: It applies tracking number to all items automatically.
  • Multiple Packages: Matches packages to the items based on weight so that it can be very specific on what to map.
• API Integration: Provides an API that transmits confirmed information to BigCommerce using NetSuite N/https module to transmit data in JSON format (tracking number, comment and shipped items).
• Real-Time Sync & Status Update:
  • Create a successful sync with NetSuite and update custom status field.
  • Gives audit trail and visibility to the team of the client.
